My Story
I grew up in Connecticut, in an old New England town founded in 1637. After high school, I was selected to travel in the international cast of Up With People! and 5 days after high school graduation I set off to Tucson, Arizona and traveled for the next two years through the United States, Mexico and Venezuela playing guitar, bass and singing.

• Connect Through Music is an online music lesson site training students in the fundamentals of band instruments and guitar.
• I am responsible for all video production from hiring, Directing, and managing the studio crew to postproduction. Designing the graphic elements each segment shares as well as extensive custom graphics for individual lessons.
• I switch the lessons LIVE using 3 cameras and record to Hard drive for later graphics treatments as needed in final lesson. I use the Black Magic HD Studio and Hyperdrive.
• I designed and built the current web presence using WIX with hundreds of online video-based lessons for the starting 10 instruments.

Musicians Tool Kit. Senior Producer

Musician’s Toolkit is an online music training website for band, vocals, guitar, and orchestra. I was recruited to lead the content development team of directors, producers and editors. I produced the commercial library for training music majors who knew music, but not the music business. I worked with the company owner and leadership to develop a dashboard so all could stay up to date on where we were with over 1,400 lesson segments in process at any one time.

I consulted on strategy and recruiting in building a sales team in the education space because of my experience in that area.

School Improvement Network was the leader in on-line professional development for teachers and educators. When the Teacher Channel was launched they told us they followed our model for teaching teachers in best practices, which the founders and myself had developed.

I edited, wrote, produced and shot all types of media for the company from social posts to videos in support of our partners. I did sales and marketing videos as well as the content for the platform. I traveled with crews throughout North America capturing footage in classrooms.

I also lead a team of 5 writers, 4 producers and 8 video editors in producing roughly 3,500 minutes of content a year.

The company was downsized and sold in 2017.
